Welcome To Manitou Lake Lodge

In traditional Algonquian First Nations culture, Manitou is a word for "spirit" or "earth-maker" amoung the peoples of the Three Fires Confederacy (Anishande) which include the Odawa, Potawatomi and Ojibway Nations. The concept Manitou involved the inter-relationship of nature and humanity, along with the desire to recognize the native culture that embodies the land.

Manitou Lake Lodge rests on the shores of Manitou Lake and offers an abundance of activities for all ages. It's a scenic 2 hour drive from either North Bay or Sudbury. Beautiful clear waters filled with fresh water fish, and acres of forest full of game! Come join us at Manitou Lake to see and appreciate the Northern lifestyle, nature and friends beside our crystal clear waters.
